What to do in central London during summer
Are you wondering what to do whilst everyone else is on holiday? Our team give us their tips to making the most of British summer time in central London.

Here at London’s most central venue we like to make the most of the warm weather by exploring our local area. We asked our central London venue team what they do to unwind during the summer.
1. Rediscover nature:
“Contrary to popular belief, London is home to some beautiful green spaces. We all occasionally feel the strains of busy central London, so I recommend taking a break from it all. At London’s most central venue we are lucky to be a 15-minute walk from Green Park and St. James’s Park, both being great parks for relaxing and enjoying a picnic. Hyde park is also an amazing place to explore but make sure you give a full day for it!” – Hayley
2. Host a BBQ:
“No British summer is complete without a BBQ. It is a cost effective way to spend a day in the sunshine with loved ones. I asked AlchemyLive’s Head Chef, Nate for some tips and he give me this refreshing drink recipe:
- – Elderflower cordial
- – Add fresh mint
- – Squeeze and add fresh lime
- – Top with soda water
Looking for something stronger? Just add Gin!” – Olivia
3. Get fit:
“Put on your best running shorts and go for a jog. Exercise and sunshine combined is a great way to boost your mood and a great way to feel productive. If you are feeling extra brave look for local outdoors boot camps or classes. Working at London’s most central venue means I can enjoy the amazing views of London whilst exercising!” – Michaela
4. Treat yourself:
“As a huge ice cream lover, I like to visit Boyds Grill & Wine Bar for a Kitchen Bar ice cream experience like no other. They have flavours such as Jack Daniels with vanilla, bacon and popcorn all made using Nitrogen Oxide, meaning healthier ice cream and less guilt for me! It’s an experience not to miss.” – Charlotte
5. Take the movies outside:
“I’m a film fan and love the cinema but the British summer weather can be hit and miss so when the sun is out, a dark cinema is not my choice of location. Outdoor cinemas have become huge recently and they are a great way to relax on a warm, summers evening. Rooftop Film Club has multiple locations such as Queen of Hoxton and Kensington Roof Gardens showing everything from Dirty Dancing to Star Wars!” – Chloe
