A guide to London Christmas markets
We love being a part of Christmas celebrations here at our events venue in central London. After the success of our A Winter’s Avenue Christmas theme last year, we wanted to review our favourite London markets.
To get you in the spirit before the excitement of your Christmas party, we have compiled a list of the best, festive things to do in London.
Selfridges Foodhall:
Although not specifically a market, Selfridges Foodhall holds endless delight for foodies. Find gifts to wow everyone from your mother-in-law to your pooch. Still stuck on ideas? Selfridges have a range of hampers to suit all budgets and all tastes! Whilst you’re there make sure to see all the shop windows; Selfridges are famous for their amazing displays.
Southbank:
Southbank is the most central Christmas market on our list making it highly accessible with plenty of transport links. The highlight of the market location would have to be the wonderful scenic views of London’s great landmarks. The permanent carousel fits perfectly amongst the wooden market huts where you can find gifts galore. A short walk over the bridge is Boyds Grill & Wine Bar where you can come in out of the cold for a bottle of wine and a complimentary cured meat plate.
Winter wonderland:
A great place to go with family during the day, especially if you have little ones!
There is so much to do and see including fairground rides, beautiful markets and ice-skating. For an evening with the adults head there a little later on. The Bavarian bar is a great place to enjoy a tipple and you will be spoilt for choice with food stalls.
Don’t forget:
Trafalgar square Christmas tree light’s are to be switched on, on the 1st of December along with carol singers. We might be biased but we think this is the best Christmas tree in town! Join us at our sister restaurant Boyd’s Grill & Wine Bar for drinks or dinner. See the full menu here .
