Widely regarded as the hospitality industry’s answer to the Oscars, the Cateys recognise the sector’s highest flyers, strongest performers and hottest brands, as determined by those best placed to decide, the industry.

More than 140 judges, selected for their expertise and industry knowledge, met last month month for four days of lively debate and discussion to cut down the shortlisted nominees to find the winners.
The judges were impressed with how 8 Northumberland Avenue’s investment in combining historic beauty with cutting edge modern technology has increased the number of events at the venue. One of the judges, Simon Burgon said:
"An excellent combination of environmental, economic and experiential elements. A richly deserved winner"
8 Northumberland Avenue were the first venue in Europe to install the pioneering amBX light technology, which enables their clients to enhance conferences and events. Diana Spellman, a judge of the award said:

London’s most central venue was also the first venue to offer Musion’s 3D holographic technology in the UK. This pioneering technology can bring products to life, allow ‘live’ performances from A list stars and event speakers without the need for them to be there in person. One of the judges, Stephen Minall said:
“A very impressive nomination that differentiated the applications.”
